1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using FixResume.net (the "Service"), you agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Service. These Terms constitute a binding agreement between you ("User," "you") and FixResume.net ("we," "us," "our").

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

FixResume.net is an AI-powered resume platform offering the following features:

• Resume Optimization: Upload your existing resume and paste a target job description to receive an AI-tailored, ATS-optimized version.
• Resume Builder: Build a structured resume from scratch using our guided builder tool.
• Cover Letter Generation: Generate a personalized cover letter based on your optimized resume and job description.
• PDF Download: Download your resume or cover letter as a professional PDF file.

The Service operates on a credit-based system. Credits must be purchased to access AI generation features. A limited number of free credits may be granted upon account registration at our discretion.

3. Account Registration & Security

To access the core features of FixResume.net, you must create an account. By registering, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information.
• Maintain the confidentiality and security of your account password.
• Immediately notify us of any unauthorized access to or use of your account.
• Accept full responsibility for all activity occurring under your account.
• Not share your login credentials with any other person.

You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account and use the Service.

4. Credits & Billing

Credits are the in-platform currency used to access AI generation features. One (1) credit is consumed per resume optimization or cover letter generation request. Credit packages are available for purchase at the prices listed on our Pricing page.

All payment processing is handled securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment card information. Purchased credits do not expire.

For full details on our refund policy regarding consumed and unused credits, please read our Refund Policy. We reserve the right to modify credit pricing at any time; existing purchased credits are not affected by price changes.

5. AI Output Disclaimer

By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that:

• AI-generated content is not perfect and may contain errors, inconsistencies, or formatting issues.
• You must review all AI-generated documents carefully before submitting them to any employer, recruiter, job platform, or other party.
• You are responsible for verifying that all information in the output — including job titles, employment dates, skills, and accomplishments — is accurate and truthful.
• FixResume.net is an assistive tool, not a guarantee of accuracy, completeness, or suitability.
• Submitting a resume with inaccurate information to an employer is your sole responsibility.

6. No Employment Guarantee

FixResume.net is a document optimization and creation tool. We are not an employment agency, headhunter, recruiter, or career counselor.

We make no representations, warranties, or guarantees that use of the Service will result in any of the following:

• Increased interview invitations, callback rates, or employer responses.
• Job offers or employment of any kind.
• Career advancement, salary increases, or any professional outcome.
• Passing automated ATS (Applicant Tracking System) screenings or manual resume reviews.
• Any improvement in your application success rate.

Hiring decisions are made entirely by employers and are subject to many factors beyond resume formatting, including qualifications, experience, market conditions, internal hiring decisions, and employer discretion. FixResume.net shall not be held liable for any employment outcome or lack thereof.

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Service for any of the following:

• Uploading files containing malware, viruses, trojans, or any other malicious code.
• Uploading content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or that infringes on any third party's intellectual property rights.
• Attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or extract the underlying AI models, system prompts, algorithms, or proprietary systems used by FixResume.net.
• Scraping, crawling, or systematically extracting data from the Service using bots, scripts, or automated tools.
• Circumventing credit consumption through API manipulation, request forgery, or any other technical means.
• Creating multiple accounts to exploit free trial credits, referral programs, or promotions.
• Impersonating another person or entity, or submitting a resume with deliberately falsified information about your identity or qualifications.
• Reselling or commercially redistributing AI-generated output without our explicit written permission.
• Violating any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.

8. Account Suspension & Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account, with or without prior notice, if we determine — at our sole discretion — that you have:

• Violated any provision of these Terms of Service.
• Engaged in or attempted fraudulent activity, including chargeback abuse or payment fraud.
• Uploaded malicious files or harmful content to our platform.
• Attempted to reverse-engineer or exploit the Service or its underlying systems.
• Created multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or obtain unauthorized credits.
• Harassed, threatened, or abused our staff or other users.

Upon termination for violations of these Terms, your right to use the Service immediately ceases and any remaining credits in your account are forfeited without refund.

9. Intellectual Property

Our Platform: FixResume.net — including its codebase, design, branding, system prompts, AI workflows, and proprietary features — is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works from any part of the platform without our prior written consent.

Your Content: You retain full ownership of the resume files and text you upload. By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process your content through our systems solely for the purpose of generating the requested output. We do not claim ownership over your personal career data.

Generated Output: AI-optimized resumes, cover letters, and other documents generated for you are provided for your personal professional use. You are free to use, edit, and distribute them as you see fit.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FixResume.net and its operators, owners, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to:

• Lost employment opportunities, lost income, or career setbacks.
• Employer decisions based on a resume or document produced or edited using our Service.
• Data loss, service interruptions, or technical failures.
• Any reliance on AI-generated content without independent verification.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) $10 USD.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless FixResume.net and its operators from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your uploaded content; or (d) your violation of any third-party rights.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components.

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration or resolved in the appropriate court of competent jurisdiction.
